Gibson girl blouse, early 20th century
It is always a treat to find a piece of antique clothing that is as fresh and wearable today as when new. This lovely blouse looks like it was never worn.
The blouse is fashioned from black and ivory polished cotton. It closes in front and at the cuffs with concealed hook and at the neckline with a silver tone button. The front is loose. The back fullness is controlled with a waistband and ties.
The condition is excellent and wearable.
It measures: 40" bust, 34" waist, 14" neckline circumference, 23" sleeve length including the cuff, 7 3/4" wrist circumference, 14" shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and 16" center-back length (longer in front).
