#6589 $195
Jeweled belt, early 20th century
This fabulous belt was probably worn with a flapper dress. The "jewels" are colored glass rhinestones sewn in rows outlined with bronze braided cord. The belt is backed with navy silk crepe.
The condition is almost excellent. Four of the glass gems were removed from one end, where it does not show, to be used in repair—see the bottom picture.
It currently measures 34" long when closed. The length can be adjusted by moving the snaps. The belt is 1" wide.
