Wide brim straw hat, c.1920
This wide brim straw hat was a real eye-catcher before it lost its decoration. I left the shattered bias-cut silk organza flounce in place as a pattern guide for your restoration. The hat used to have a fabric rose on the outside of the brim and a matching smaller rose on the under side. This would be easy to restore! The label inside reads "Jo Davis."
The diameter of the straw brim is 18". The original diameter with the silk flounce was 23".
