Enamel/faux tortoise hair ornament, c.1900
The head of this charming hair ornament is decorated with a Persian style design of red, white, and blue enamel and bronze filigree. The comb is faux tortoise shell. I love the exotic design.
The condition is almost excellent. In the enamel I found one tiny chip, which looks like part of the design.
It measures 5" long by 2" wide at the top.
