Lamé evening shoes, 1920s-1930s
The knee-length flapper styles of the mid-1920s focused attention on the exposed leg and foot. The extravagant designs of silver and gold, first made popular during the Roaring 1920s, continued into the early 1930s.
What a special treat to find a pair of early 20th century shoes that fits a modern woman! They are fashioned from dark bronze lamé with contrasting heels and trim of silver-and-gold printed metallic kid leather. I love the bold Deco buckles.
The label stamped on the insole reads "Saks & Company/Fenton fashions/Narrow Heel."
The condition is excellent and wearable. The shoes show gentle wear.
The size is approximately 8. The shoes are 11" long from heel to toe. The heel is 2 3/4" high.
