Painted ivory crepe blouse, 1940s
Blouses from the 1940s generally have roomy sleeves that are comfortable and easy to wear.
I love the whimsical painted design of butterflies in a web. The blouse features short sleeves, cut-in-one with the body, with rolled back cuffs. It closes in back with plastic buttons. The silky crepe fabric is probably rayon.
The condition is almost excellent. There is a pale mark along the waistline where the blouse was tucked in.
The size is marked 34.
It measures 36" circumference and 22" length from the shoulder to the hem.
