Bias-cut rayon satin nightgown, 1930s

The term bias cut has become synonymous with the Hollywood look of the 1930s. A diagonal or bias-cut garment molds to the figure like spandex.

The nightgown is fashioned from peach colored rayon satin that is printed with floral bouquets. The back ties are attached at the sides.

The condition is excellent. The nightgown, which has never been worn, was recently washed to freshen it from storage.

The size is marked 36.
It measures: 38" bust, 32" waist, 40" hip, and 57" from the shoulder to the hem.
