Deco 14K gold/diamond link bracelet, 1930s
This superb Deco bracelet is finely crafted from 14K gold. On the inside is yellow gold with white gold on the outside. Three of the flexible links are set with prong-set diamonds of approximately .30 cwt. The clasp is stamped "14K."
Many of the greatest artists (Cellini, Ghiberti) of the Italian Renaissance began their careers as goldsmiths. This was felt to be the ideal training ground for an any artist, including painters or architects.
That aesthetic credo is proved out in the close up in the bottom picture, which showcases the sparkling symmetry of the design. Here is the cool, serene beauty treasured by the Renaissance.
The bracelet would make a lovely gift for someone special or for yourself, especially as gold and precious stone values are just beginning to reflect a sharp spurt in inflation, as in the 1970s.
The condition is excellent.
