Hand-embroidered silk half slip, c.1920
This pretty pink half slip was probably the lower portion of a full length slip. Perhaps the top portion died and someone wanted to rescue the beautiful hand embroidery. The waist is currently elasticized.
The slip, which is fashioned from soft silk broadcloth, is exquisitely hand embroidered around the hem. It is too pretty to hide—you can wear it for a skirt.
The condition is excellent and wearable.
It measures 48" around and is 20" long.
