Faux snakeskin handbag, 1970s
Now that styles from the1970s are back in vogue, you need a vintage bag to complete the look. This bag was originally purchased by a New York greeting card artist, who always bought the best quality. The designer of the bag is unknown because the label has come off, leaving a mark on the lining.
I love the crisp box shape. The bag is fashioned from ivory leather embossed with a snakeskin pattern. The matching silk faille lining has four pockets, one of which is zippered.
The condition is almost excellent. The bag, which shows signs of gentle wear, has no real problems.
It measures: 8 1/2" wide, 4" deep, and 6" tall, excluding the handles.
